What dancers will receive
Honest constructive feedback and encouragement.
Feedback that addresses the general scorecard of most international dance competitions.
Personal mentorship. One on one time to discuss a personalised plan to achieve goals.
Benefits of Routine Feedback
Constructive, thorough and encouraging feedback delivered by experienced professionals is invaluable in helping dancers grow and achieve their goals. Most competition judges only have a 3 - 5 minutes, with 15 to 30 seconds between routines to watch, score and critique a routine. While they do their best, time and inability to replay routines often inhibits judges to deliver in-depth feedback and ponder the precise strategies, that would support each dancer.
Routine feedback offered by Hannah includes the same expertise a dancer would receive at a competition with the added bonus of time, focus on a dancer's individual needs and strategies to help
them improve.
Feedback Packages
Verbal
*What dancers receive at competition
Email your solo video and Hannah will do a audible critique with verbal feedback, which will be given over the top of your original routine. Just as you would at a competition. Verbal feedback highlights areas for improvement in real time and offers a dancer as much encouragement with strategies for improvement inside the time parameter of the routine provided.
Written
*What dancers receive from competition + additional suggestions and training exercises for improvement
Similar to the verbal critique: Simply email your routine and receive your video back with verbal feedback and an additional PDF that includes written feedback. Written feedback includes a breakdown of verbal feedback with strategies and ideas to incorporate into training. This package also includes a reflection worksheet to help dancers acknowledge their strengths and digest their feedback with a healthy mindset.
Routine Feedback & Mentorship
Email your routine and receive your video back with verbal/written feedback and a reflection worksheet. In addition receive 30 minutes one on one time with Hannah via zoom. Routine mentorship allows dancers time to discuss and deconstruct feedback. Dancers will have the opportunity to ask questions so they can find clarity on ‘why’ they need to work on particular areas of their routine and ‘how’ they can make a personalized plan to achieve it.
Hannah’s coaching style is designed to help dancers acknowledge the value of their performance before moving onto applying feedback. Mentorship sessions focus on how to digest feedback as a tool for growth, instead of correction-less criticism.
Hannah will support dancers as they prepare an ‘action plan’ that suits their personal needs. This will equip dancers with the skills to seek out and accept feedback with an open mind. Thus learning how to best apply and incorporate these new found skills into their training.
